PACT is a non-profit that support adopted children of color nationwide. This organization understands the unique experiences adopted children of color will have, so they have programs, resources, groups, and speakers that walk them through their adoption journey. Their staff covers every member of the adoption triad, all with the commitment to stay educated on the pervasive test of race and adoption.
This organization has a variety of resources, but one, similar to Heritage Camps, they offer a camp on the West and East Coast that supports adopted children of color. The camp is set up so the entire family can come to rest, learn, and connect with other families who have a similar life journey as theirs. Receiving nationwide recognition, Pact Camps are well respected simply for supporting the adoptee first, but also supporting their support system (family) as well.
